Product Description

Oktoberfest is Germanys festival beer. We use a blend of Light, Amber, and wheat dry malt extracts to produce a bright copper color lager with a creamy white head. This beer is nicely balanced with a traditional blend of Hallertauer, Hersbrucker, and Tettnanger hops. This is one of our personal favorites for introducing new people to fine homebrew. You will find that all great beers have two things in common:  the finest ingredients and the best recipes.  Ours have both!  With freshness and quality in mind, we produce all our kits on demand.  We want you to make good beer the first time and every time. Our beer making kits come with complete instructions that are easy to read and follow.  They contain all the ingredients you will need to produce five gallons of great homebrew that you will be able to serve with pride.  All our beer kits include dry malt extract, specialty grains with a grain bag for steeping, hops, yeast, clarifier, and priming sugar (for carbonating). These beer brewing kits are so easy to make that even a first-time brewer can make great beer with one of these kits, but the quality and convenience keep even experienced home brewers coming back for more. You will need to own basic homebrewing equipment to boil, ferment and bottle this beer. If you do not own brewing equipment, please click on the link Other Products by The Home Brewery to see our starter equipment kits. Questions? Don't hesitate to give us a call. We are there when you need us for advise and support after the sale.

This was my first attempt at brewing my own beer, I love Oktoberfest brews and decided on this one. The ingredients were fresh and made terrific beer and the instructions were easy to read and follow. The beer turned out amazing, with good flavor and perecft aftertaste and was a huge hit with my buddies. I will be trying some of thier other brew kits soon. Cheers!
Oktoberfest Beer Kit Gets an A

Normally we don't brew from a kit. Out of laziness (no brewing stores where we live) and because of the low price we decided to give it a try. Normally we spend twice the amount assembling all the ingredients. The kit comes with very clear instructions. Furthermore, all the ingredients are individually labeled with instructions on when to add. This makes the brewing process almost fool proof, this also helps out if there is drinking involved. After eight days of primary fermentation, we added a seven day secondary fermentation step which is not in the instructions or required. We like to add the secondary fermentation step because it increases the clarity of the beer and allows us to bottle or keg when we are ready. Ten days after bottling, the beer tasted great. It is recommended waiting two weeks, but we couldn't resist. The beer had good carbonation, nice clarity, a very mild malty taste with just a taste of hops. You should be aware that this kit does not include bottle caps. Overall I would give this kit an A.
Das ist good bier.

This was the first lager I have attempted since I started home brewing. The kit was straight forward, but lacked the detail for a true lager. I supplemented the instructions with other reference material. The batch is bottle conditioning at this time, but the beer turned out great so far. The color and clarity is good and the flavor will be great.
